More On Happy Healthy Her…
Before trusting any piece of health information, it is important that you know exactly who wrote it and why. So, I’ll tell you a bit more about myself. I have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 1997. That means I have been studying nutrition and health for over 20 years. While this should make me a “health expert,” I don’t feel that is exactly true. There is just always so much more to learn. The good news is I love to learn and I love to share what I learn with others. That is the primary intention behind this site – to share reliable health information and to offer emotional support. It is a labor of love to which I have dedicated money and time in the sheer hope that it will help someone. Maybe you?
I also have a bit of a personal mission. I have three autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Sjögren’s Syndrome, and Celiac Disease). For more on that please see the blog post “Admitting to Autoimmune Disease.”
After decades of living with the challenges and unpredictability of chronic illness, in 2010 I decided to take my health into my own hands by completing a master’s degree in Integrative Health & Healing. What I learned in that program made it abundantly clear that we have the power to heal our lives through body, mind, and spirit. I was so excited and grateful for the information that I just had to share it. So, as part of my culminating project for my degree I launched this site in 2012.
The following quotes sum up what HappyHealthyHer.com is all about:
